I am leaning towards Di2 and therefore the Roubiax since Tarmac is not slated for Di2 until SL4 - or. Random - your results are what I'm hoping for/anticipating. You can't go wrong with either the Tarmac or the Roubaix. I am a convert.Īnd the DA 7850 c24 tubeless wheels are terrific. It is like the move from friction to STI. Sure it is crisp and certain, but I find myself shifting much more, especially in the drops. It is a hair heavier than the Tarmac, but not much.īTW, the Di2 is better than I expected. The S Works Roubaix is real winner, trading a tad of responsiveness for stability and smoothness. I hear Trek is finally designing a competitor, but for now I don't think any of the "comfort" bikes with longer headtubes compare. Specialized nailed the design on this Roubaix. I don't race but I ride all day on various quality roads. After a long day in the saddle I don't feel beat up and I have something left to contest the last climb home. My times say it ain't so, but it feels like it. It doesn't seem as quick as my Scott, but that could be because the longer wheelbase, slacker headtube and longer trail make it feel a slight bit more sluggish out of the saddle. ![]() The chassis is based on the Tarmac and it is stiff and efficient where it counts. The longer wheel base and trail makes it very sure footed on the descents. ![]() It is actually smoother on the rough roads than my Legend. It is smoother and calmer than my Scott, but essentially the same sort of bike. It was quick and climbed very efficiently. I was immediately comfortable on the geometry. I gave both the S Works Tarmac and Roubaix a long test ride in the hills. But they assured me the S元 S Works was anything but. I was reluctant because I had the impression that the geometry was too laid back. When I put the word out, my buddies in the industry recommended I try the Roubaix. I am 56 and ride between 150 and 200 miles a week, climbing between 12K and 15K feet. I have about 35K miles on it and lately I am feeling a bit punished on the longer rides. It is a great performer, particularly on the climbs. ![]() Up until now I was mostly riding a 2005 Scott CR1 Team, the precursor to the Addict. I have ridden both and actually purchased an S Works Roubiax S元 - Di2.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed, hoping for the best, that the prequel will find its way on Netflix in the future, but we’ll have to wait a little longer to know for sure.Īs you wait to learn which streaming service will be lucky enough to acquire The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, be sure to catch up on the many other dystopian titles currently on Netflix, such as What Happened to Monday, The Platform, and Awake.Netflix released a first-look featurette for the film back in September 2022 during their Tudum event. Netflix added all four of The Hunger Games movies on Wednesday, March 1, to its site for 31 days, meaning you can now watch the whole saga on Netflix. Ahead of its theatrical release, plans for its streaming home haven’t been confirmed The prequel film will be released in theaters on Nov. While we don’t have official word whether The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will stream on Netflix, we’re keeping our hopes pretty high, as the streaming service is slowly (but surely) acquiring other installments of The Hunger Games. Will The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes stream on Netflix? But while you wait to learn more about the full cast of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, read on to find out whether the film will arrive on Netflix after its theatrical release. Of course, we’re going to have even more stars added to this amazing cast list in the future. Volumnia Gaul, Hunter Schafer as Tigris Snow, Josh Andrés Rivera as Sejanus Plinth, and Peter Dinklage as Casca Highbottom. As per The Hollywood Reporter, here’s who’s set to star in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: Tom Blyth as President Coriolanus Snow, Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray Baird, Viola Davis as Dr. If this intriguing synopsis wasn’t enough to get you hyped, then we believe the cast will, as it features tons of your favorite celebrities. What’s more, we will learn how Snow’s upbringing and participation in the Hunger Games as a mentor led to a disastrous future, full of countless deaths. The upcoming prequel title will be set in a time before our heroes Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark shook up society for the better, and will instead follow the life of President Snow before he became the dictator that we know him to be. It’s safe to say that The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is going to be the film of the century in the same way that the original installment of The Hunger Games changed the film industry forever. ![]() ![]() If you are looking forward to experiencing these skies for yourself, a telescope is a phenomenal gift for a loved one (or yourself). Warm summer nights are the perfect time to try out a new telescope to see the stars, planets and galactic features of the summer night sky! After all that daytime fun, though, there are lots of great things to do on summer nights after the Sun goes down. For our testing pool, we did not venture into those with much larger 10-inch, 12-inch, or 14-plus-inch apertures they are often so big and unwieldy as to deter many people from getting their telescope out and using it as much as possible. When folks think of what they love about summer, they tend to focus on what they can do in the sun – picnics, swimming at the beach, lemonade stands. That said, larger apertures are more sensitive to heat currents and turbulent atmospheric conditions, and that can affect the image’s sharpness. A larger aperture will in fact collect more starlight in any scenario, allowing you to view fainter objects. Another concern: The “urban aperture” myth suggests that a larger-aperture telescope will collect excess light pollution in city environments, thus affecting performance. If you are viewing super-dark skies with the hope of seeing deep-sky objects like diffuse nebulae, planetary nebulae, open clusters, globular clusters, and galaxies of the Messier catalog, the “bigger aperture equals better vision” maxim holds true. With this model, we easily spotted Saturn’s rings and Jupiter and its moons.Īs Mounsey stressed, the need for a bigger aperture depends on where you are viewing from and what you hope to see. ![]() The mirrors expand and collapse, making this model even more amenable to being stored indoors. Like our top pick, this Newtonian-style reflector telescope has a 5-inch mirror, but it’s designed to sit on a tabletop rather than on a tripod, so it works best if you have a picnic table or other support to set it on. So if you’re willing to put in the effort, you’ll become a smarter stargazer. With that in mind, some of our experts told us they preferred (and even advised) learning the ins and outs of astronomy on a manual telescope. (Unlike our top pick, this telescope won’t automatically find the specific celestial bodies you seek.) One reason you may not want a manual telescope: You have to collimate (align) the telescope’s mirrors, and if you aren’t aware this has to be done, it can be tedious or frustrating. If you don’t want an electronic GPS function, the Astronomers Without Borders OneSky Reflector Telescope offers the most scope for the money. So you should have no problem packing it into a trunk and setting it up on location. This scope weighs 15 pounds, making it very portable relative to other options out there. Unlike with some of the NexStar 5SE’s competitors, this controller worked flawlessly in our tests, offering micro adjustments and responsive tracking with the attached controller system. Instead of fumbling to read star charts and align the telescope manually, with the press of a button you can align and focus your telescope on a myriad of celestial objects. The NexStar 5SE operates on a fully computerized system and gives you a handheld controller to guide it. ![]() And it provides sufficient power to introduce you to objects in the deep sky. This telescope has a primary 5-inch mirror-big enough for a light-gathering capacity that yields crisp images of some of the best objects in our solar system, from Saturn’s rings to Jupiter’s cloud bands. The Celestron NexStar 5SE-our pick for the best amateur telescope-is a Schmidt-Cassegrain scope, which means it uses both lenses and mirrors in a relatively compact package. ![]() Code fast with Code Completion and customizable Code Snippet by getting suggestions for keywords and stripping the repetition from coding. ![]() Which grass types are best for lawn stripes?Įven if you’re not a sports fan, you’ve probably seen striped patterns on golf courses, outfields, or the lawn next door.Once you have that down, you’ll find a striping kit will make all the difference. Cut your grass at a 2-4-inch height, or treat your grass with a fertilizer.īut you’ll need a healthy lawn before you achieve the results you want. If you’ve attempted lawn striping with little success, try altering the height of your mower. It can help prevent soil compaction, and allows your grass to thrive. It’s much healthier for your lawn to take different routes across your lawn each time you mow. Don’t always mow or stripe your lawn in the same direction. My one word of advice is to change it up with each mow. By alternating the direction of your mowing, you increase the sun absorption for your lawn, leading to more pristine uniformity. Low spots form in your grass when taller blades block sun access to shorter blades. That’s because lawn striping increases your overall lawn health. That simple change will already make a difference in the look of your lawn. The Toro Striping Kit – Promotional Photo courtesy Ryan Knorr has a great video about striping kits you can check out: ![]() You just need to build it to match your mower’s size.īe as creative as you’d like by crafting one out of PVC, some old rubber mats, or even sandbags.Īs long as its heft drags behind the mower as you cut your grass. DIY Lawn Striping Kits?Ī DIY lawn striping kit is easy to assemble for almost any model lawn mower. The most important thing to consider when buying a striping kit for lawn mowers is the width of your mower and buying a lawn mower striping kit that’s the same width. Be certain you can line up your striping kit while cutting your grass. In all cases, you want to make sure the width of the kit is compatible with your mower. I own this kit I picked up from Home Depot. They work just fine for most smaller yards. For homeowners, I recommend choosing a less expensive model to get started. As a professional, you’ll use it constantly as part of your business. It makes more sense for a lawn care company to buy a premium striping kit. More budget options are available, and depending on your usage, may be the better choice. The zero-turn equivalent of a $100 striping kit for a walk-behind mower costs almost $400 in its larger equivalent. ![]() Obviously a zero-turn or tractor mower will have more expensive striping kits by upwards of a factor of 4, just due to their increased size. You’ll have to make some considerations depending on the type of lawn mower you have. It’s easy to attach your own rubber mat to the back of a mower, or to drag a PVC pipe capped at both ends and filled with either sand or water. The most expensive kits look like a line of wheels or a cylindrical bar that trails behind the mower. Some lawnmowers’ safety strips are pre-equipped with these as a standard feature, making striping simply a perk. The simplest kits are typically heavy rubber mats that drag along the ground. You don’t need a striping kit necessarily and will get some effects just from the safety strip at the rear of a standard mower but investing in one will makes your lines crisper and clearer.Īny hardware store will sell a kit, and depending on what you want, they’ll range from $10-$15, upwards of $100 and beyond. A striping kit is a weighted bar that drags behind the mower to further press down the grass, bending it further to reflect light most starkly. Using a Striping Kit for Your Mowerįor best results, attach a striping kit to the back of your mower. It’s also possible to make a diagonal-pattern striping by using the same principle as the grid pattern but angled to the edges of the lawn. To make a grid pattern, go over the lawn again from the opposite side, perpendicular to the existing stripes. ![]() Ask about group discounts and discount Six Flags tickets. ![]() Missouri Retreat w/ Deck, Grill & Shuffleboard See 95 Places to Stay near Hidden Valley Ski Resort, MO Quickly compare Hidden Valley Ski Resort vacation rentals, hotels, cottages, cabins, chalets, and more. ![]() We now offer cable TV, a new gift shop and camp store, additional bathrooms and new group coordinator.
